George says that when he grew up he had one toy. It was called outside. He can't remember what inspired him to apply to work at The Chef's Garden some 20 years ago but today he transforms a tiny seed into vibrant, nourishing Petite Carrots, Turnips, Radishes and Watercress Blooms that grace the plates of restaurants.
George leads a team of growers - including his wife Tiffany - in one of the oldest building on the farm that was originally constructed from discarded railroad ties. Each day is planned the afternoon of the previous day. Crop availability vesus chef requests are balanced and George works directly with The Chef's Garden Product Specialists to make sure chef's are satisfied.
