The Dishwasher/ Porter is responsible for maintaining the organization, cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen facilities, dishes, utensils, and serviceware, as well as event set up and tear down.
Washing and storing dishes, mopping floors, waste management (trash, recyclables, compost), and sanitization of utensils.
Operating and maintaining dishwashing equipment and levels of cleaning supplies. Complete hand washing of dishes as needed.
Schedule and complete set up and breakdown of fixtures for events including chairs, tables, bar, tents, bonfire/fireplace, cutting wood.
Establish a routine maintenance schedule and complete scheduled tasks such as weekly hood cleaning, wiping down gaskets and coolers, dusting windows and shelves and daily mopping and cleaning drains.
Display excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills with staff and guests alike.
Maintain a positive work environment with clear and friendly communication.
Ability to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format.
Must be able to follow directions, replicate what you have been shown, willingness to learn and speed/accuracy/agility in execution.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Requires constant standing, walking, climbing steps and general physical activity.
Part time or full time schedule is available. Shifts could be scheduled for a minimum of 4 hours up to 14 hours. Occasional Sundays may be required. Hours may change seasonally throughout the year.
