With four James Beard Foundation Award nominations for Best Chef: Northeast, as well as a Beard Foundation nomination for Best American Cookbook for his latest release: “Homegrown, Cooking From My New England Roots” four Cochon 555 wins, and a spot on Food & Wine’s 40 Under 40 Big Thinkers in America list, chef Matt Jennings is recognized nationally for his bold, lusty cooking, and his dedication to New England artisan and seasonal ingredients. After a decade of success with his restaurant Farmstead in Providence, Jennings returned to his native Boston. During his tenure as chef/owner of Townsman from 2015-2018, the New England brasserie was named one of Esquire’s Best New Restaurants in America; one of USA Today’s 10 Best New Restaurants in the country; and one of Food & Wine’s 10 Restaurants of the Year. He has now moved on to found Full Heart Hospitality, a ‘creative culinary consultancy, focused on culture and people, ignited by fusing hospitality and wellness.
