Flavor & The Menu Katie Ayoub has been working in foodservice publishing for almost 20 years. She is managing editor of Flavor & The Menu, a national publication specializing in flavor trends. She is also a media consultant for foodservice manufacturers, specializing in engaging content strategy for companies like Kraft Heinz Foodservice, InHarvest Specialty Foods and Gordon Food Service. Katie has also helped develop brand books for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and True Aussie Beef & Lamb, synthesizing their extensive materials into compelling narratives. She won a Folio award for her Flavor & The Menu article, "Heritage Matters." She also won “Best Culinary Article” from the Cordon D’Or for her article on offal. Before her tenure as managing editor, she served as editor-in-chief of Sizzle magazine, contributing editor to The National Culinary Review and managing editor of Chef magazine. Katie has written for many foodservice publications, including Culinology, Foodservice Director and Restaurant Business. With English parents, a Canadian husband and a childhood spent primarily in Latin America and the Caribbean, Katie enjoyed global mash-ups before they became a trend. A graduate of Northwestern University, she lives in Chicagoland with her husband and two kids.
