Matt Pearce is a fifth generation beef cattle grazier whose family has been farming beef cattle in the foothills of the NSW Snowy Mountains since 1899. Matt completed his high schooling at an agricultural high school and then subsequently completed a science degree at the University of Canberra majoring in soils and property management. Matt has spent his working career in the agricultural industry, firstly working as a livestock auctioneer before moving into the grains industry working in both Sydney and regional areas as a grain trader. When Matt married his wife Ange he had the opportunity to move back into farming and has spent the last 15 years working within the family cattle operation, grain trading and now also working part time managing a crop insurance portfolio for a regional Insurance broker. Matt’s family have completed a succession plan and he and Ange now independently run their own beef enterprise across 2000 acres on Muronga which has been held by the family since the early 1900’s and other land purchased by Matt and Ange. Matt, Ange and their 3 kids live, breathe and love living in rural Australia. As a team they are committed to best practise management on the farm and strive to provide the highest quality beef. With continued emphasis on improvement in management and on farm practises Matt aims to be at the top of his game and welcome anyone to view their property and operation.
