Mary-Frances Heck is a freelance food editor based in Northern California. Her recipes and writing have appeared in the Lucky Peach cookbooks, Justin Smillie's Slow Fires, Bon Appetit, Saveur, Lucky Peach, Redbook, Rodale's Organic Life,Fitness, Rachel Ray Every Day, SELF, SHAPE, and All You. Her areas of interest include biodynamic agriculture, childhood food security and access, and getting dinner on the table. Heck's first cookbook will be published by Clarkson Potter in the fall of 2017.
