Vitamix Adam Wilson grew up learning to cook from his father. Though not a trained chef, his dad always loved feeding a crowd and inspired Adam to join him in the kitchen. But Adam viewed his culinary skills as more of a hobby than a career path, and earned a B.A. in Governmental Policy from Syracuse University in 1997. After a short-lived career in sales, he decided to follow his true passion and, in 2001, graduated with a Culinary Arts degree from the Art Institute of Atlanta. Adam began working as Sous Chef and quickly became General Manager of a premier Atlanta restaurant featuring only fresh, local ingredients on its menu. In 2004, a new opportunity brought him to Cleveland, Ohio, where he managed Damon’s Restaurant and opened a small catering business. In 2006, Adam discovered his love for teaching as the Culinary School Director for Viking. During his tenure there, he could be seen periodically on local television broadcasts: That’s Life, New Day Cleveland, and the morning news. To further his credentials as a culinary educator, Adam earned an Intermediate Certificate from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. At Vitamix, Adam serves as Corporate Executive Chef, where he oversees recipe development and recipe testing. In this role, he looks forward to creating new international recipes for both household and commercial customers. Adam and his wife, Andrea, reside in Bay Village, Ohio and have a daughter, Alice. In his spare time, Adam enjoys playing golf, experimenting in the kitchen, and playing with Alice.
