Zane Holmquist oversees all food & beverage operations for Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley, The Chateaux Deer Valley, and Stein Eriksen Residences. The operation includes five restaurants, nine kitchens and over 200 staff members. He leads menu development, team development, restaurant renovation projects and department profitability. Originally from Utah, his over 40 years of experience in kitchens across the country has included large and small hotels, freestanding restaurants and country clubs. He joined the team at Stein Eriksen Lodge in 2000 and has become a prominent culinary and restaurant business leader winning numerous awards and showcasing his work on regional and national television programs and publications. Zane believes that being a chef is all about people. It’s both about taking care of guests and taking care of the team. He is the product of great mentors and believes that being a chef means being a teacher and mentor.
